We feel you little dude!!! If that face doesn’t say it all for 2020, not sure what will!

“Times are hard baby, but I’m pretty sure they can’t get worse.” - RENT

If I learned anything through this last year, it is this: DON’T EVER SAY THAT IT CAN’T GET WORSE! It can ALWAYS be worse.  I went through a cycle of many different emotions. Some were very positive and productive and some others were ugly and embarrassing (keeping it real). I won’t get into the thick of it; we all know the vibe of this last year, so use your imaginations and insert a cry/laughing/crazy person face on me. This quote is from my all time favorite musical, RENT!  C’mon now, you know you are singing it is your head now; or is that just me? (Where are my people? - Literally, I just stared out my window and sang the whole song, no joke!).

Being a small business owner during this time also made you want to lose your mind on top of all of the other things that made you want to lose your mind. Christina and I’s first reaction is to always stay positive; especially during hard times. We actually pride ourselves on that -yes, we are one of those annoying overly positive people-generally) We wanted to keep a routine going that made us feel good and move forward and really take this time to build our business behind the scenes. We focused on our nutrition, health and fitness (because those things are truly important to us and make us feel good). We photographed eachother (ALOT- because we love eachother/our camera and we didn’t want to neglect either!!

We started off really strong for a little while with that positive mindset. We really did! :) We were motivating the sh*t out of eachother and that’s something I love about us. I know everyone reading this, can relate to what I’m about to say- LIFE WAS TRYING TO TEAR US DOWN. For real, we thought it was testing us. So we high-fived at first and said “Challenge Accepted!” We think passed the challenge in the beginning, then we failed in the middle and I think we are back to passing life’s tests again. It’s all about balance, am I right? We had some HIGH highs for sure this last year, MANY things to be grateful for which are the things we usually tend to talk about more, but we also thought we would share the other side too (trying to be vulnerable is hard sometimeWe had some HIGH highs for sure this last year, MANY things to be grateful for!!

  • Now that we are allowed to be back in the world, the weddings can resume again (smaller ones at-least)! We know just about every single one of our wedding industry friends and colleagues are screaming in excitement right now. If you are reading this and are getting married or know someone getting married, make sure they book Christine Eng (Event Coordinator) with WeddEng Boss. We love her!! Plain and simple and I know you will too. She will not only get the job done, but she will go ABOVE and BEYOND for her clients and other vendors. She handles everything with a smile on her face (well under the masks these days) and grit in her eye! One of the funnest things we did during the pandemic, was photograph a styled shoot that Christine put together with her vision at Vidovich Vineyards. It was such a dream, she made it Covid safe for all vendors and models and we have some amazing shots we are excited to share in a future blog. For now we will share ONE image from her vision and our camera.
